The Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center is part of the Waterloo Recreation Area. It introduces visitors to the glacial geology of the region, the diverse natural habitats found here and the many recreation opportunities available in the Chelsea area. The Eddy Discovery Center is also supported by the Waterloo Natural History Association, established in 1981. It was built to facilitate both educational and recreational opportunities to people visiting the Waterloo Recreation Area. Events are held year round to educate visitors and residents about the natural surroundings and the outdoors in Michigan. For Discovery Center events visit the ChelseaMich community calendar.
